Our New School Building

What our school will look like!

Our wonderful new school will be light and airy so that we create a calming environment to work.

These images are a digital representation of what the school should look like in September 2021.

Update on schools progress 7/10/2020

Dear Parents / Carers,

It is with great pleasure that I can finally write this letter to you on behalf of the Governing body, today we signed the final contract that appoints the contractor to construct our new school. This is incredibly good news and I am thrilled on behalf of the Governing body to provide this update. It has taken many years to get here and I would like to thank all the present and past Governors, School Staff and Parents who have helped to ensure this project is realised.

Over the next few weeks you will see Baxall's the appointed contractor on site preparing and from November they will be starting the construction phase of the school. The timeline for construction and completion is by August 2021, which will mean we will start the new school year for 2021 in the new school.

We will of course send out updates throughout this year on the progress of the new school.

Yours sincerely

Paul Vallance,

Chair of Governors on behalf of the Governing body.

Letter from our contractor

Visiting our new woodland area

I was excited today to visit our site and discuss how we will organise our woodland area as a learning space. It is beautiful! Oak, Beech, Hazel and lots of other established trees. It will be an amazing working space with so much to explore. Our wonderful contractors are going to save some of the trees that will be thinned so that we can make dens and have a fire pit circle.  Outdoor learning is so important to us and this will really ensure that we can offer this for everyone!

Classroom kitchen

Our classroom kitchen and allotment plot...

We believe that all children should learn to prepare and cook healthy food. We have been lucky enough to have a bespoke D&T room included in our new build. This means that we will be able to teach the children to cook regularly with child friendly cookers, hobs and surfaces to cut and prepare.

Outside of this room we will develop a school allotment so that the children can grown, pick and cook food.

Breaking ground!

We were delighted to officially 'break the ground' this week on site. Please see press release below.
